Residues on the leaf disc samples are dislodged with Aerosol OT solution in jars placed on a reciprocating shaker, or other methods specified by the sponsor.  The UTC and TRT samples are each run on the shaker separately.

Turf Transferrable Residue Studies

Samples are collected using Modified California Roller technique for turf. Separate rollers and dosimeter frames are used for the untreated and treated plots.

The vast majority of our trial work is conducted on A.C.D.S. Research, Inc. property, where we have our own weather station.  For the remaining trials we run off-site, we have a long-standing relationship with the growers.  Therefore, there is no danger of trial loss due to grower "overspray" or miscommunications over harvestable areas.

We also own, maintain and operate all of our equipment for trial activities and maintenance.  This includes our walk-in cooler and freezers, which are used for sample storage.  Both the cooler and freezers lock and are monitored by HOBO temperature loggers.

Application Methods

A.C.D.S. Research, Inc. uses on-site contract quality assurance for all trials.
